CIUDAD MIER, Tamaulipas — Footage circulated across social media platforms detailing an encounter in which heavily armed men outfitted in tactical gear intercepted a pickup truck, damaged its tires, and forcibly defaced the driver in Ciudad Mier, Tamaulipas.

According to reports from local outlets in the municipality of Ciudad Mier, the targeted individual was identified as a corporal in the Mexican Army (Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional). Local reporting indicates that the perpetrators are alleged members of the Cartel del Noroeste criminal organization.

The video footage documents at least three individuals equipped with long firearms stopping the black pickup truck. The driver was traveling alongside a minor, reported to be his child, while two other male passengers were located in the rear cargo bed of the vehicle during the confrontation.

During the incident, one of the armed men systematically punctured the vehicle's tires using a sharp object. Subsequently, another gunman requested a permanent marker and approached the driver, drawing scribbles directly onto the victim's face while the occupants remained unable to intervene.
