Seven individuals were taken into custody following a violent altercation with law enforcement and security personnel during an operation to remove improperly parked motorcycles in the historic center.

An urban mobility operation aimed at recovering public spaces and removing improperly parked motorcycles in the historic center concluded in a physical confrontation, leaving multiple individuals injured and seven suspects under arrest.

According to official reports detailing the event, the altercation erupted when law enforcement personnel attempted to clear motorcycles stationed along Madero and Motolinía streets. During the procedure, a group of individuals confronted the authorities and physically assaulted two traffic control officers, as well as a private security guard who attempted to intervene in the dispute.

Emergency medical services and paramedics arrived at the location to evaluate and treat the injured personnel. Due to the nature of their injuries, two of the affected individuals were subsequently transferred to a medical facility for specialized care and clinical observation.

The Secretary of Security Ciudadana, Pablo Vázquez Camacho, confirmed through social media channels that the seven alleged aggressors were successfully apprehended at the scene. The suspects have since been placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, where local legal authorities will continue the corresponding investigations and determine their judicial status.

Local authorities reiterated that operations to maintain order and clear unauthorized obstacles in high-traffic pedestrian zones will continue, emphasizing that physical assaults against public servants and private security personnel performing their official duties will be addressed with strict adherence to the law.
